Gwent National Trust Association

Gwent National Trust Association was founded in 1980 and currently has around 280 members.

Our objectives are to promote the National Trust locally, raise funds in its support and arrange a programme of events and activities to enrich members' understanding of its work.  The Association provides many opportunities for members to meet and take part in its activities.

As well as supporting our local property, The Kymin, we also raise funds for other properties, particularly in Wales.  For example, at Llanerchaeron, we have contributed considerably towards the restoration of the house and gardens and at Dinefwr, we have helped to enable a trailer for access to the Home Farm and surrounding area.  Gwent Association is independent of the National Trust and governed by a constitution common to all the charity's centres and associations.  Our affairs are conducted by a committee of officers and members who are elected at our annual general meeting held in March each year.
